Good Shepherd Services
Mission
Good Shepherd Services goes where children, youth, and families face the greatest challenges and builds on their strengths to help them gain skills for success. We provide quality, effective services that deepen connections between family members, within schools, and among neighbors. We work closely with community leaders to advocate, both locally and nationally, on behalf of our participants to make New York City a better place to live and work.
Good Shepherd Services leads in the development of innovative programs that make a difference in the lives of children, youth and families today.
Young people are New York City’s single largest resource. Our continued success and prosperity depend on how well we prepare them for the future. Good Shepherd Services’ youth programs are designed to do just that. Our programs provide children and teens with a safe place to go after-school; give students who are struggling the opportunity to not only graduate from high school but to develop the skills they need to succeed in college; and provide a nurturing environment for adolescent girls who are unable to live at home.
All of these programs for young people are united by a common goal – to create opportunities that help our participants succeed at school, at home, and in their community.
Program Types:
After-School and Summer Camps, Education, College and Career, Youth Justice Programs, and Homeless Youth Services.
